Wii Fit vs Fast Food

Wii Fit vs Fast FoodNintendo’s innovative controllers have so much potential that Nintendo’s marketing specialists are always busy implementing new ideas. Wii Fit is one of those ideas, offering overweight people who don’t like diets the opportunity to at least engage in fun exercise.

Basically, Wii Fit is a piece of developed specially hardware that you stand on and use during a Wii game. But perhaps it’s easier just to point you to the trailer from E3 2007 below.

The hardware can’t handle every weight, however. The first versions of Wii Fit could only handle 300 pounds or 136 kilograms. For the Japanese that’s enough, but Nintendo realized that they missed one major market group — generally obese or overweight Americans. Wii Fit was improved to handle 330 pounds or 150 kilograms. However according to WiiSpin 330 pounds is still not much of a limit for Americans. They are apparently gaining weight each year thanks to the lack of proper diet and fast food.Wherever you are, though, Nintendo’s strategy can at least help people lose weight with the help of Wii Fit without leaving their houses.
