Activision is doing more than well over the past few months. Just Guitar Hero III and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare on their own are enough to place this company at the top. COD 4 was named the best game of 2007 and it really deserved such recognition.

Unfortunately for Nintendo Wii owners, however, Activison didn’t plan a version and many Wii owners were really disappointed by that. The good news is that Activision has now decided to make Wii owners happy by announcing that the next part of COD series will be available on their consoles.

COD 4: Modern Warfare is the game that you’ll play without wanting to take a break. Personally speaking, I think it’s the best COD I’ve ever played yet so I’m looking forward to the next one.

In other news, IGN reports that Activision is planning to continue Guitar Hero III series as well.

As far as Guitar Hero goes, the company expects to focus on growing the franchise in the international market as well as introducing two new Guitar Hero offerings. Specifics on the upcoming releases were not given due to competitive reasons.

Watching the trailer for COD 4: Modern Warfare you can just imagine how good the upcoming COD 5 will be.
