Nintendo is doing everything it can to become a household name, and now there will be a Nintendo Chanel on Japanese TV. So, when you’re through playing games on your Nintendo Wii you can watch it all on TV.

Although it’s available only in Japan for the moment, it will probably hit U.S and European screens sometime in the future as well. You’ll be able to watch previews of upcoming games, shows, reviews and everything else connected with Nintendo. You can rate your favorite shows share them with friends and receive an alert 30 minutes before the beginning.

This all seems pretty cool, but the real surprise concerns the Wii remote, reports Nintendo Wii Fanboy.

The coolest feature we’ve heard about, though, is the ability to use the Wii remote as a universal remote control. Wii owners can use the controller to change channels, adjust the volume, and switch back and forth between their shows and the TV Guide Channel.
