Lego Indiana Jones Coming To Wii

Lego Indiana JonesI’m sure there are many Indiana Jones fans who can’t wait for the upcoming movie — the fourth in the series. For those gamers among them, they’ll likely be nicely surprised to learn that LucasArts will also be releasing a game for all major platforms, including the Nintendo Wii.

However, it will be a game played with LEGO characters although that’s not such a bad thing, perhaps, given the success of LEGO Star Wars. Basically, don’t think that LEGO Indiana Jones will be something simple. It’s instead based on the first three movies as Just Video Games reports, follows their plot very well.

The game also follows the films very well. The way which you move through the different films is brilliant and really brings it back to you. More surprisingly is the quality of the graphics. If you thought lego star wars was impressive, wait till you see this one.

In terms of graphics, Nintendo Wii owners shouldn’t worry. Anyway, if the gameplay is not interesting then visuals will not save the game. There’s some hope here as, according to QJ.NET, each character will have its own unique abilities.

According to Eanes, Dr. Jones’ (game’s associate producer) allies will also have their own special abilities to aid them in the adventure. For example, female characters such as Marion Ravenwood and Willie Scott will be able to double jump (Scott has a Black Canary-type scream that shatters glass, too.). Satipo and Sallah will be able to dig up buried objects. Still others can reportedly fix broken machinery and even decipher codes.

It’s not clear how the Wii controllers will be used, but for now it appears as though a good adventurous game with rich graphics and gameplay is coming. LEGO Indiana Jones will be released this summer, so after the movie as well, it will be quite a year for fans of the film.

Enjoy the trailer.
