Sam And Max Coming To Nintendo Wii

Minas | Adventure | Wednesday, 09 April 2008

Sam and MaxMore and more adventures are starting to appear on the Nintendo Wii and almost all those anticipated have since been announced. However, one of the most interesting is yet to come.

Sam & Max, a popular cartoon, has already been released on the PC and now it’s time for Wii fans. The first episode will appear this fall, but don’t forget that Sam & Max consists of six episodes which will be released later for Wii as well.

The games are point and click adventure/puzzle game with full support for the Wii’s motion-sensitive controllers. As Storygamer reports Sam & Max will have an easy to use interface and be ideal for wide range of people of all ages.

The new Wii version will present Sam & Max in a format that can be enjoyed from the comfort of the living room, either alone or with a group of friends—a setting perfectly suited for this kind of experience. The game’s easy-to-use interface has a low learning curve, making it ideal for the Wii’s broad consumer audience.

There was a time when PC version of Sam & Max was included in the top 10 list of games and the Nintendo Wii version will probably be the same due to the use of its controllers. You might expect some nice visuals as well, as cartoon based games can have satisfying graphics with simple effects and don’t require more advanced graphics technologies to render deeply detailed environments.

So wait few months and go for adventures with Sam & Max and don’t forget to thank Telltale and JoWooD/DreamCatcher cooperation for bringing it to the Wii.

Enjoy the trailer.
