Monster Lab On Nintendo Wii

Monster LabFor those of you looking for an interesting Nintendo Wii game that will be released this month, Monster Lab is a good candidate. Developed by Backbone Vancouver, the game will be published by EIDOS Interactive.

The game itself is very unique as it’s an action game which includes elements from role-playing games as well. As a mad scientist creating robot-monsters in his lab, the player gets to take them into battle with other monsters. During those battles or mini-games you’ll also learn new ways to improve your monster and will be able to create different body parts like arms, legs before adding them to your monster.

Actually this game consists of two parts: one is the battle and the other is the experiment. It’s known that there will be over 150 monster parts that you’ll need to find and by mixing parts you can make something new. 1UP reports that battles are interesting as well.

Each move you make costs battery power — mana, essentially — which you can also use to block. It sounds pretty simple, but it gets an added layer of depth when you learn that there are three genres of parts — mechanical, alchemical, and biological — and certain parts work better against other types. So, for example, you might use a mechanical arm to attack an opponent’s biological arm for enhanced damage.

Well it seems that developers have done their best to bring in a worthy game for holidays and according to GameZone Monster Lab will be available on June 17th and will come on DS as well.

Enjoy the interview with some gameplay.
