Spyborgs: Nintendo Wii Exclusive

CapcomWhen Capcom makes a game people wait in anticipation given their track record of releasing products with unique gameplay. That will surely be the case with Spyborgs, a new action game exclusive to Nintendo Wii.

Spyborgs offers five playable characters with their own fighting styles and abilities. During the game, the other characters will accompany the one chosen by the player so co-operation and an advanced AI system are involved.

Having the chance to be at the game presentation, Joystic reports more details.

What’s intriguing is that each character has their own specific actions that must be performed with the Wiimote and Nunchuk. For instance, the player controlling beefy Bouncer has to make punching motions to fight. Later, we see this put to further use when the same player has to pretend to bash a door down to … well, to bash a door down.

Kotaku thinks that game has the potential to be another worthy title by Capcom.

We were treated to a hands-off presentation, however, getting a rough sense for Spyborgs’ cartoonish sci-fi fisticuffs. In short, it may not look like much, but it has potential.

Spybergs will be released in 2009, but for now enjoy the trailer.
