Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli On Nintendo Wii
One type of game that’s pretty rare on the Nintendo Wii is racing. Perhaps Mario Kart is the most popular game closest to the genre, but it’s definitely not a real racing game with realistic cars, tracks and handling.
The situation is soon to change, however, with the release of Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli. Activision and System 3 will bring the game to PS3, Wii, Nintendo DS, and PlayStation 2. With four modes of gameplay — Ferrari Challenge Seasons, Time Trial, Quick Race, and Endurance — the game features 15 international racing tracks. Ferrari Challenge also includes a multiplayer mode for up to 16 players.
What makes game even more interesting is that not only can players drive the latest Ferrari supercars, but they can also go back in time to drive some of the historical ones as well. DreamStation reports the info from the press release.
“For the last sixty years Ferrari has been synonymous with precision, performance and elegant design, so expectations for the game will be high from auto enthusiasts and racing game fans alike,” said Dave Oxford, Activision Publishing. “Everyone involved in Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli has been dedicated to ensuring this product over-delivers on the experience of this legendary brand.”
SPONG reports about the control system.
The Wii version will fully support the unique control system offered by this system, including control by a Wii steering-wheel.
