While the Wii is fun and does seem to be more geared towards small children than other consoles, not all Wii games are designed for only children. The Wii is also a great system for family play, which means game developers have to be taking parents and family members into consideration when designing funny games. An area that even the most casual and inexperienced gamers can agree on is puzzle games. Here is a look at some great puzzle games for adults.
Big Brain Academy
Much like the appeal of the popular TV Show “Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?” the Big Brain Academy line of puzzle games for the Wii is both smart and fun. The series feature a variety of mini games and mental challenges that then rate how smart the player is. The game is simple and does not require years of gaming experience to play it. Not only does this Wii game allow players to build their own boom blox levels, and destroy them, there are also 400 other different levels gamers can play through. What makes this puzzle game so exciting is that the multiplayer component is such a big part of the game. Invite your friends or make new ones and work together to progress through the game. Building and destroying was never such a party!
Rubik’s World
Not all Wii games are designed with only children in mind. Take, for example, the Rubik’s World Wii puzzle game with its challenging, problem-solving puzzles meant to stump players – just like the original Rubik’s Cube. The good thing is that there are different difficulty levels so beginners or children looking to test their brainpower can still enjoy Rubik’s World. Even better, the games increase in difficulty as players master each one. This surely can’t be classified under wii games for kids.
Parents will appreciate these types of puzzle games as both a blast from the past and for the mental challenges they hold for their family. As you see, the choice is not limited to wii games for kids only.
As for me, I am not a big lover of Wii games like my husband, so my two sweet girls and I prefer playing online girls games on girls-games-zone.com. They are as fun as the Wii games. I guess it’s just a matter of choice.
