Blast Works: Build, Trade & DestroyNintendo Wii games are fun to play thanks to its innovative controllers, but haven’t you ever wanted to build your own?

For those of you that answered “yes” then Blast Works: Build, Trade & Destroy is what you need. On first look, the game is a 2D scrolling shoot-em-up, but on another level it’s something far more. In addition to the levels already included, there is also a custom level builder.

You can create your ship, enemies, and place them wherever you want. There’s also a nice online mode as well. Here’s what GAMESPOT reports.

Luckily, the developers have gone way overboard with their online sharing and community features, an early version of which we got to see in a recent demo. You’ll be able to upload any object you’ve created, along with its associated behaviors, to blastworksdepot.com. That doesn’t just go for single objects–you can upload a level background or even an entire prepackaged mission to your account on the site.

Regarding the game itself, you can stick your ship to any other to provide cover. Maybe the graphics aren’t anything to write home about, but the novelty certainly is. Blast Works: Build, Trade & DestroyBlast Works: Build, Trade & Destroy will be available in May.
